Organiser/Planner's Comments By using the foolproof excuse that I was up north at Edinburgh University until yesterday night, I managed to get out of most of the work for the event today! Consequently it turned into a rather last-minute effort, and a big thankyou must go to Mick Lucking for his expert controlling - as well as to mum and Angela Lucking who helped Mick check out the courses and tape the control sites for me. Thanks also to my sister who did a brilliant job at juggling the chaotic start and finish, whilst I commandeered the cushy job sitting inside the van - I just hope that the courses made for a good day out despite the rain.

When we checked the control cards, we discovered that a few competitors on the White and Yellow seemed to have missed out controls, but for this event we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt! A coaching tip is to to copy the control numbers into the boxes on your control card so that you can check the number at each control and that way you'll know if you miss one out or get one wrong. If you realise that you've punched the wrong control, then you just need to punch the correct control in the spare boxes (labelled A and B) at the top of the control card and explain when you get to the finish.
